The importance of empathy in financial planning

One of the most important aspects of successful financial planning is the feeling of human connection between you and your client.

Without that feeling of human connection, the financial planning process is more likely to fail to be meaningful for the client.

It is certainly true that many clients experience a lot of insecure thinking about money and planning for the future.

So, it is essential for financial planners to recognise when this and when appropriate, sincerely empathise with their client.

But what is empathy?
